Updates and srategy... Carol Lystlund reviewed her visit with the Moreland-Altobelli ROW land acquisition agents a few weeks ago. Dan Fischer's resolution for the city will be promoted by Nancy White when/after the new Council is sworn in. It states that Macon Government is responsible for the health and well being of its citizens, and therefore it must be able to assert veto powers over road designs. Susan Hanberry _ _ _ Elmo is being pursued by Randall Savage who wants an interview about conflicts of interest. Ronald Cloud described Elmo's (ethical) problems best as this: The citizens are being disenfanchised because Elmo (who is suposed to represent their wishes) also has to answer to his employer (Stantec - who wants to make the most money from Bibb County contracts) . Purpose and Needs has changed. Ron Lemon was stonewalled at Moreland-Altobelli when he tried to see and copy the designs of FHR. Then after he paid $30 for a couple of pages of plan, Van Etheridge (M-A project manager) told him (days later) that the drawings he has are not the current plans! He will write a letter to the Telegraph reporting this fiasco. This demonstrates why we all need an Open Meeting where the public can see the Current Plans and where questions can be asked and answered by the group/individuals... Nobody seems to know exactly what the Current Plans really are. Susan talked with Co Attorney Virgil Adams who says it will be at last 2 weeks before he will have info/plan to share about the Mediation to be held after the New Year. |
