Advantages of Conservative Alternative plan:
-Preserves more of the natural resources on the site, Canopy, and intact soil.
- More resilient to environmental challenges like drought and heat waves that are more common here,
- Less municipal water needed for lawn irrigation;
- Less runoff of lawn chemicals and fertilizers.
- Less electrical power will be needed to cool the campus buildings.
- Enhanced teaching of safety,
- Esthetically superior appearance to most people's preferences. (more trees)

Existing Conditions: 
ivy
Brick wall collapsed into drain.  Ivy is spreading from adjacent properties.

Many large trees should remain on the campus.  Fence needs to be extended.  Gated.

roots
roots hang out of pipe like a dead squid or octopus.  Just needs basic root maintenance. .. .

erosion
pipe dumps storm water too close, eroding bank of gully,  mud splattered up on building shows where water is splashing into the foundation. 


gap in safety fencing. Extend fence.  Add gate.

Beautiful, pleasant nature walk.  Lots of green.  Moss underfoot.  Tall Canopy. 
Ivy in trees can be easily removed by hand.  Note- high barbed wire fence. stable soil.
